8. Gender Equality Index

Gender equality index at the end of 2018: an overall score of 79/100 for the Florette ESCU

Florette announces an overall score of 79/100 on the Gender Equality Index, one of the provisions introduced by the law "for the freedom to choose one's professional future" of 05 September 2018.

In application of this law, which aims in particular to eliminate the wage gaps between women and men in France, companies with more than 1000 employees must calculate and publish on their website this global score for the first time since 1 March 2019,

The Florette Economic and Social Unit achieves this score of 79 points, thanks to the measures taken by Management and the social partners to monitor and control equal pay through our collective agreements on gender equality and the quality of life at work.

Florette is convinced that gender diversity and professional equality are essential factors for social progress and sustainable performance and aims to improve its score by 2020.

In addition, while equal pay for women and men is one of the foundations of professional equality, other issues are just as important and attract Florette's full attention: such as the diversity of key positions and management, the balance of life time, vigilance against gender-based behaviour, discrimination and violence.
